Hi, I'm tami

Below is one of the sweetest client interviews ever with the absolutely stunning Caroline.

When I asked in a recent survey for my VIP boudoir ladies,  what you ladies wanted to see more of, I received an overwhelming response that you wanted to see MORE client reviews from sessions. So here’s interview #2! (And be sure to also check out my first boudoir interview post!)  I am doing these posts as a way for you to hear straight from the clients themselves why they chose to do a session and what an empowering experience that these sessions can be. This session with Caroline was one that I think was completely serendipitous with timing – we both needed it and the resulting images are to-die-for! Read up below all about this amazing session with my 2nd installment of boudoir client interviews.

Tell me about your journey to doing a boudoir session. (Ie, What were your reasons for doing one? Have you wanted to do a session for some time? Or was this decision impulsive?)

I have been wanting to do a session for a long time. I was always waiting “to lose those last few pounds” or other excuses but I realized after having my daughter that I had a brand new appreciation for my body and what it was capable of, and I should just go for it and I could always do another session later when it hit my fitness goals. I still had reservations, especially for doing sexier poses but I knew how amazing Tami is at boudoir and knew I would be in good hands. Ripping the bandaid off and doing this session was part of a huge awakening for me honestly.

What was the tipping point in you finally deciding to do a session?

I had a lot of really personal struggles recently and had to find my individual identity again and doing this for myself was a huge stepping stone. It made me remember what a badass I am and that I can do anything I want. It was incredibly liberating and deeply personal. I feel strongly that boudoir sessions are for the person in them. It was important for me to do this for myself and not for anyone else. My boudoir images make me so proud and if I ever get scared to do something I can look at them and remember how confident they make me feel.

Why did you choose me as your photographer for your boudoir session?

Since I am a photographer as well I have known Tami for a long time and her talent for this type of photography still blows my mind. I am super picky and knew I wanted a boudoir specialist because this style is so difficult. I knew she had to be my photographer because of her experience with all different women and her continued education and work on her craft. I knew I could trust her to make me look and feel my best and that I would be thrilled with the final product.

How did you feel in the days leading up to your shoot?

The week before my shoot I actually went to Belize by myself. So I was really excited about all the boxes I was checking off my bucket list that week! I still let myself indulge a bit and not be too nervous, and I knew all the hiking would help too. Plus I got really tan on that trip. I wasn’t sad when my trip ended because I had my session to look forward to.

How would you describe the actual session experience? Did you have nerves? How did it feel to be in front of the camera?

I was more nervous the day of the session, but I had fun picking all the outfits and getting my hair done. I was so calmed once I saw Tami start working. She made me feel so confident and sexy and I was able to let go of any nerves and enjoy modeling. Some of the poses were super funny positions but I knew that meant she was flattering me and then seeing how the images turned out it was like “oh that’s why she had me do that on the floor” haha! I trusted the process and I’m so glad I did.

How did you feel after the shoot? And then when you saw your photos for the first time?

I was relieved afterward because I felt like it went well and I was so anxious to see my photos. It didn’t take long to receive the gallery and I was amazed. I texted a few to everyone I knew because I was so damn proud of myself.

Did your boudoir experience change the way you see yourself?

They definitely made me feel beautiful and the session helped with my self-esteem tremendously.

What would you tell someone that was still on the fence about having a session done with me?

Do not wait another moment. Don’t wait for those last 5 pounds or to grow your hair out or until you have someone to gift the photos to. This should be for you. Rip the bandaid off. Carpe that motherfucking Diem. I’m so serious though, the experience is amazing and you owe it to yourself to experience the fear and the thrill and the reward of seeing yourself through Tami’s lens.
