Since 2008, I’ve told womens’ stories through empowering boudoir sessions. Now as a certified life coach as well as a photographer, I help women cultivate radical self-love, guided by mindset. Sit back with a margarita  in hand and let's do this transformational journey together.

Hi, I'm tami

I know that one of the biggest hurdles keeping women from booking their boudoir shoots with me is the excuse “I want to get in better shape + feel more confident first”.

And while I have compassion for these sentiments (I’ve had them cross my mind before too!), I personally think that’s a bunch of nonsense. You will never be ready if you are waiting on attaining perfection with your mind + body before your session. But if you insist that you must get these things squared away first, then I still want to be able to provide you with the tools that will help you feel ready to do your photoshoot sooner than later.

It is because of this that I thought I’d do a quick write-up post about some of my favorite fitness + wellness apps that I currently use (or have used in the past) that have helped me heaps over the years and that all can be used from the comfort of your own home. If you didn’t already know, I have a degree in exercise physiology + I’m in the process of getting certified to become a mindset coach. so learning everything there is to know about feeling better in mind, body, + spirit is totally up my alley! Below are my favorite fitness and wellness apps that I want to share with you (and hopefully I’ll see you soon for that boudoir shoot you’ve been putting off! 😉 )

**Note: Some of these have affiliate links where I make a little something if you use my link. Think of it as a win-win for us both!

Sweat App

If you are looking for an app with a HUGE variety of workouts (everything from yoga to barre to high-intensity interval training to lifting at home), this is a one-stop shop! And they literally keep adding new programs + workouts every single day! They offer at-home workouts, gym workouts, no equipment workouts, and more so there’s something for everyone. Also, it includes a food planner and one of the best online fitness communities around. They will also do 6-week challenges which is a great motivator that connects you even more with the community + keeps you inspired! If you sign up for the yearly plan it literally comes down to pennies a day – aka $0.33/day. If you’d like to get a free 7-day trial to see if it’s a good fit for you, DOWNLOAD IT HERE

Nike Training Club

This one is a rare diamond…this app has a plethora of workouts at all different levels and get this…it’s FREE! I used this for years and it’s still a good option! The only negative I found was that it did start to take up quite a bit of space once you downloaded workouts (and saved your favorites). So as long as you have the room on your phone, I see no reason not to add this staple fitness app! DOWNLOAD HERE.

DietBet

Do you need some extra motivation to workout, eat right and lose the pounds? Then put some money behind your commitment to take off the weight by joining a diet bet. They have new bets starting daily and they range anywhere from $10/bet up into the hundreds (if you really want to invest!). You can choose between a 4-week Kickstarter (where the goal is to lose 4% of your weight to get a split of the pot) or you can do a 6-month Transformer (where the goal is to lose 10% of your weight). I’ve won some and I’ve lost some (womp, womp!), but to date, I’ve won about $777.84 doing these DietBets! So if you want to give it a try, SIGN UP HERE.

#75Hard

So if you haven’t heard of #75Hard (are you living under a rock?!), just do a search on Instagram for that hashtag and you’ll find lots of info and inspiration. The 75 Hard Challenge is more of a mental challenge than it is a physical challenge, but there’s a strong chance that you will lose weight and reap many gains from sticking it out for the full 75 days. We’re talking double workouts, no alcohol or cheat meals, a gallon of water, following a diet, tracking your progress with daily photos, and reading 10 pages a day in a non-fiction book. I’m currently on day 55 of my 2nd attempt at it (it’s tough!) and I’m down 11 lbs! You’ll find the rules all over online so you can technically do it for free. But if you’d like the daily reminders and an app to help keep you accountable, the $4.99 one-time fee app is money well spent! DOWNLOAD HERE

MyFitnessPal

I’ve been using this app for well over a decade! It’s my go-to app for tracking what I’m eating, my measurements, and how much water I’m drinking. I literally have my weight tracked back all the way to 2001 (whelp…I guess 2 decades then that I’ve used it!) The database of food is astounding and you can just scan a barcode on any item and enter it in real quick. Or you can create your own foods/meals if you’d like to (hello Chipotle burrito bowl – 1/2 steak, 1/2 chicken, white rice, green + red tomatillo salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce! Lol). You can set goals for your weight, measurements, and your daily macro percentages. I just use the free version but they also have a premium version as well. CHECK IT OUT.

Brain.FM

If you are looking for something to help you focus while you work, fall asleep more quickly, or take a 15-minute break for some mindful meditation, this is the perfect app for you! Working on having a healthy mindset is well over half the battle when it comes to your overall wellness. This app works with specific brain frequencies to achieve your desired mental states. Sleep Cycle

Getting quality sleep is so important to your health. Allowing yourself time for rest and recovery has so many added benefits, including decreased weight gain, improved immunity, improved productivity, and a better mood. This app is excellent for creating a window of time for you to wake up in and it will slowly wake you up at the optimal moment in your window. You have options for what sounds wake you up (and put you to sleep), and it tracks your sleep over time and the quality of sleep you are getting. If you have the premium option you can even get recordings of snoring + talking in your sleep. DOWNLOAD IT HERE.

Zero Fasting

Research shows that fasting has many health benefits, including weight loss. I’ve been using this app for a few years now to keep me on top of my 16:8 fasting cycles and it’s definitely helped to keep the weight down. I like how it will also ask you how you are feeling from time to time to track your mood as you cycle through the phases of fasting. DOWNLOAD IT HERE.
