You’ve gotten your boudoir session booked, now it’s time for the fun part. Shopping! Where do you even begin to start your search for the perfect boudoir session wardrobe with all the options available out there? It doesn’t have to be overwhelming and I’m here to help you find just the right pieces for your photoshoot.
The one thing I highly recommend if you are planning to buy some new lingerie, Is to get yourself measured! You may find the prettiest bra ever, but if it’s ill-fitting, it’s not going to make for very flattering photos. Here’s a link to doing your bra measurements yourself at home, along with some extra tips from Third Love to make sure you have a proper fit! Once you know your proper size, let’s get started on where you can find a wardrobe to match your boudoir style!
Shop your own closet!
The best pieces are going to be ones that you feel most comfortable in, and you likely have a few of those already in your closet! And remember, it doesn’t have to all be lingerie for your session. I love things like a basic white tank top, a flirty tee, an oversized/off-shoulder sweater or cardigan, a lacy robe, sheer top, pantyhose/stockings, etc. Check that closet first and save some of your wardrobe money for more prints!
