A gift from your sister to embrace how beautiful you are as you turn 40? Ah-mazing! And that is exactly what this Sarasota boudoir session was with the gorgeous Miss C.
How freakin’ amazing is that?! To support your sister and help her welcome in a new decade of life full of self-love + confidence. And albeit being a little nervous, Miss C was truly excited about doing a boudoir shoot. When I asked her what this boudoir experience would mean to her, she told me,
I hope this session helps me to celebrate my femininity and get comfortable with the uncomfortable. I have really struggled with the feeling that I’ve been appreciated for my looks and objectified. I’m trying to come to terms that it’s ok to appreciate beauty in all forms and that it means so much more than just physicality. I want to celebrate turning 40, surviving a pandemic, having three children and starting my own business. I want to remember this time for being exactly what it is.
I mean, how amazing is that for a reason?! For her boudoir session I came down to her gorgeous home in Sarasota, Florida. I personally love to be able to photograph my clients in their own personal space as most ladies usually feel a lot more comfortable when their surroundings are familiar, and it also means that the outfit selections are easily accessible…no “Oh crap! I wish I would have thought of this piece to wear!” And for myself personally, I always thrive in a new space and it energizes me with new ideas that fully show off my client and it’s just that much more personal.
