After eight years of photographing boudoir, I feel like I’m finally really falling into a style that I am completely smitten with. I couldn’t quite put a finger on it before…what it was about the images that I absolutely loved from my sessions and why. But I’m starting to finally get it. I’m realizing that I love lifestyle boudoir. I adore being able to capture images that have a more raw and authentic form – less of the “over-glammed with accessories” and putting more of the focus on the human form. The delicate curves on a woman’s body and how shadows and light can play such a huge part in the emotion that is evoked from an image. I want my boudoir photography to play on genuine sexuality and all those enticing angles that make a girl really feel beautiful. My images should make you feel like you are getting a hidden glimpse into what makes these women as gorgeous as they are.
With this session, I got to work with Trina Lynn – who happens to also be another amazing boudoir photographer at Boudoir Maven in Nashville, Tennessee. I loved that we kept it simple, and made use of everyday pieces – sweaters, knee-high socks, tank tops, a blanket, etc. – so there was no need for her to break the bank buying all kinds of goodies from the lingerie store. This woman is such a stunner and literally rocked this session out in a quick 25-minute petit session. She’s un-freaking-believable. 😉
Below are some of my favorite images that I photographed of her from this boudoir session.

LOVE these!!!
Thank you Patty! <3
Absolutely stunning! Love every single one!!!
Thank you Ashley! I appreciate it!
Tami, these photos have completely changed my outlook on boudoir. I have never been a huge fan of those sessions because they are overly fussy, lack authenticity, and yes, even lack sexuality. You have managed to deliver not only beautifully composed and gorgeously lit boudoir photos here, but you have truly captured her raw sexuality while maintaining a very “less is more” appeal. Superb work! I’m so glad you found your rhythm, and I look forward to seeing more of this work!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kelly! Seriously such a sweet comment and I’m so happy to see that people are seeing boudoir exactly how I want it seen and not too cheesy! Xx
Gorgeous! I always love your boudoir sessions- so talented! 🙂
Thank you so much!
These are gorgeous!!! Way to go on this session :).
Thank you so much Kat! I really appreciate it!
I love the simplicity of this session! I agree that using everyday items instead of buying a ton of lingerie stuff, made for a beautiful lifestyle session!
Wow! Gorgeous shots!
These are GORGEOUS – I love the idea of “lifestyle” boudoir, you are so fabulous at it!!
These are perfection! I adore this style – it’s more about her and the light and textures than over-the-top outfits and setups. Love love love!!
Beautiful images!
I’ve been debating on doing a maternity boudoir sesh…your post is leaning me towards a YES! Great photos Tami!
