Hi, I'm tami

For many ladies, the thought of doing a boudoir shoot is quite intimidating. It can take a lot of courage + nerves to finally do a shoot. Have any of these thoughts below ever crossed your mind?

I need to lose weight/get in shape first!
– I need to find a lover first in order to even have a reason to do one!
– I don’t have a clue how to pose! I’m going to look ridiculous!
– What if I invest all this money into photos and I hate them?
– The thought of getting into my skivvies for photos has me breaking out in hives!
– Boudoir is only for “pretty” girls. My photos wouldn’t look like the ones I see online!

I’m pretty sure many of these thoughts have crossed the minds of almost every.single.one of my clients, yet somehow they have all managed to find the courage to go ahead and do a boudoir session. But how?? What is their trick? I’ll let you in on a little secret. There are no tricks. Nope. None. But what I am going to tell you below are my top tips for breaking through that wall of fear so you can finally become that more empowered and courageous woman that you desire. The one who feels beautiful, confident, and worthy of love and won’t let anything stand in the way of what she desires (including a boudoir session)!

1. You were born worthy, so quit telling yourself you aren’t.

I feel this is a big one with a lot of women. You want to do something, but you don’t feel like you are worthy of it. Go back to the list above and those are all examples of feeling unworthy when it comes to doing a boudoir session. I’ll be honest, I’ve had many moments of feeling unworthy myself over the years in many situations (and I even still have my moments now). I get it. I know how you feel. It’s human nature for you to feel like you “aren’t good enough” for something/someone. But let me tell you something. Worth isn’t something you earn. It also isn’t something that you have to gain over the years from experience. You were fucking born worthy and will continue to always be worthy. So don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. You don’t have to be a certain type of person, or look a certain way, or be with a certain person, or do a certain thing to be worthy. You are already 100% worthy of whatever you want to accomplish in your lifetime, including doing an empowering, self-love boudoir experience.

2. The only person you need to do this session for is yourself.

Your opinion is the only one that matters. While, yes, it’s a nice gift for a loved one and it’s fun to show off to your friends how smokin’ hot you will look in your resulting photos. But just remember, no one else’s opinions matter except for your own. This session is not about trying to appease someone else into thinking you are “worthy” (see tip #1). You don’t have to prove you are in good enough shape, or look good in lingerie, or know exactly how to pose. Nope. You just get to know that you are already beautiful (both inside + out) and this is a wonderful experience that will deepen the love + compassion you have for the woman you currently are.

3. There is no greater accomplishment than doing something that scares you.

These sessions are all about finding the courage that is deep inside of you that you sometimes forget to let out. It’s about doing something that you want to do even when you are afraid of the end results. And even if your session doesn’t go perfectly (which, what even is perfect, anyway?!), you will still be enough. Always. Because you tried. You did something that was outside of your comfort zone. You get to be proud of yourself for doing something that is scary. You get to blow your own damn mind with this experience. There is no greater high out there. I promise. If you want a big life, you have to be willing to feel the big emotions…and that includes fear. But remember, with these bigger emotions, also comes bigger rewards.

4. You will become an example of what is possible for other women.

I personally think this is the biggest reward of all. Not only did you get up and breakthrough that wall of feeling unworthy, but you also just proved to other women out there that if it’s possible for you, it’s also possible for them. You get to be the example of what it’s like to take a leap of faith and be greatly rewarded for it. You get to show other women that they are just as worthy as you. You get to become a leader in showing other women what they too are able to accomplish!
