“She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the Universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.” – Ariana
While I have many women that come to me inquiring about having boudoir photos taken as a gift for their significant others, I also get a good amount of women that come to me to do these sessions for themselves. I can personally say, that I did one for myself, a few years ago following my divorce, as a way for me remember that I am still a beautiful soul despite going through one of the most difficult times in my life. It was an amazing experience!
It was a very similar situation with the lovely Miss B. She had just journeyed through one of the most trying years ever. A relationship she waited patiently for and worked hard for, sadly didn’t end up working out the way she would have dreamed it to work out. At the end of that relationship, she told me she looked into the mirror and didn’t recognize the woman looking back at her. But since then, she’s stood strong, and has grown from the experience. The day we did her session would have been her wedding anniversary. Instead of letting herself get down and depressed, she chose to do a boudoir/beauty session as a way to acknowledge her external beauty and the strong, brave soul that she has since grown into. And from the photos below, I’d say it was a success! Such an amazingly empowering session! Below are some of the images that I got the “a-okay” to share. 🙂 Hair & Makeup by Alex of Bella Ti Artistry.
