When I announced my model call for my new BoldHER portrait experience, Leanne came about the post on a whim and decided to apply. This empowering portrait experience came at what seemed like a serendipitous moment with her 32nd birthday on the horizon.

After a divorce trama that left her feeling uncomfortable in her own skin, she was ready to turn a leave in the next chapter of her life. She started working on herself, slowly gaining more confidence and now she’s ready to embrace the “new” her and see the best version of herself – to be confident in all of the beauty and flaws that she may have. This explanation totally won my heart and I was so excited to get to work on a BoldHER portrait session with her.

What is a BoldHER portrait experience you may ask?

While I absolutely LOVE doing boudoir sessions, something that came up every once in a while over the years when I told women about what I did for a living, is they’d react with how cool that was + that they wished they had the courage to do a session, but they just weren’t sure if they were ready to do one quite yet. So that sparked an idea in my head to create the BoldHER portrait experience. I wanted to create a portrait experience that helped women embrace their uniqueness and proudly share who they are, without necessarily getting down to their skivvies. It’s a portrait session OF you FOR you (not like your typical headshot which tends to be about creating images for another person such as for work or a dating website.) These uplifting lifestyle portraits are all about embracing what makes you, YOU. It’s about you being willing to share your unique quirks with the world + embracing it as your superpower so you can reclaim your inner strength and thrive as the woman you are. Sound like fun? Leanne’s portraits came right in time to celebrate her 32nd birthday.

Leanne’s love for nature + playfulness led us to a session at Fort De Soto beach. It was quite chilly that evening + the wind was definitely knocking us around a bit, but with a little girl power music from Beyonce + two women just celebrating life and each other’s company, we created some incredible magic that evening.
