Absolutely not! Boudoir is for every body—whether you’re curvy, petite, athletic, or anywhere in between. My goal is to help you feel seen, appreciated, and stunning in your skin, no matter your body type or size. Many clients leave feeling more self-assured and empowered than ever before.
3. How do I prepare for a boudoir session?
Here’s a brief guide on how to prepare:
- Wardrobe: I recommend choosing outfits that make you feel amazing. You can bring lingerie, bodysuits, or any other piece that you love. I’ll help guide you based on what makes you feel best.
- Self-Care: Taking a few days to pamper yourself—maybe a manicure, skincare routine, or just a relaxing bath—can help you feel your best.
- Mindset: Remember, this session is for you. Think of it as a celebration of who you are right now.
4. Where Will the Session Take Place?
I do most of my boudoir sessions in my home studio located in St. Pete. But since this session is all about you, my favorite location for sessions is in your home. I love walking into a new space and developing a story in your images based on your life. I understand that sometimes this might not be the best option for you, so I also will do shoots in hotels or an Airbnb. If that’s something you are interested in, let me know and I can provide you with some wonderful options in the Tampa, Clearwater, St. Pete + Sarasota areas.
5. What happens during the session?
A typical boudoir session involves:
- Hair + Makeup: well start off with some pampering from my amazing professional hair + makeup artist who will be there to enhance your natural beauty and get you feeling sexy even before you slip into your attire.
- Wardrobe Assistance: we’ll work together to figure out which outfits we love most and which one we want to start with.
- Posing and Guidance: I will provide direction & show by example how to pose so that we accentuate all of your natural beauty.
- Lots of Fun: I always aim create a comfortable and fun environment to help you feel at ease + exhilarated when you finish up.
6. Will you help me with posing?
Yes! I guide you through every pose and expression so that you feel confident and look your best. I have over 16 years of experience and know how to direct you for flattering angles and poses, tailored specifically to you.
7. Do I need to bring my own hair and makeup artist?
When you work with me, you session includes on-site professional hair and makeup. I work along side some of the most trusted local artists in the St. Pete and Tampa Bay area. This is a perfect way to add polish and confidence for your session. It also allows us some extra time at the start of your session for us to chat and to ease any last-minute nerves.
8. Can I bring a friend with me?
Sure! If you are a little nervous and need your BFF cheering you on in the corner, she is totally welcome! The only thing I ask is that your friend does not feel the need to offer suggestions with each shot or feel like she needs to touch up a fly-away with each shot as this may start to impede the session’s progression. I have your back and will make sure everything is perfect for your images!
9. What happens after the session?
After your session, we’ll schedule a private viewing where you can see the images and select your favorites. This can be done either in-person or virtually. You’ll have the option to choose between one of my Bold collections – which include either a combination of prints/albums + digitals, or a-la-carte if you want to find artwork/digitals that suits your style. 10. Is it okay if I’m nervous?
Feeling nervous is totally natural! Many clients feel a mix of excitement and nerves before their shoot. However, I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. From the moment you step into my studio, I’ll help you feel at ease, and by the end, most clients say they’re ready for round two!
11. What if I want to keep my photos private?
Your privacy is extremely important to me. I will never share any images without your explicit permission. If you prefer to keep your photos private, that is entirely respected.
