I get it. It can be hard sometimes to embrace the curves of your current body, let alone sign up to do a boudoir shoot with said curves. But I promise it is so worth it!
When I’ve asked women in the past what was their biggest hold-up when it comes to booking a boudoir photoshoot, the majority said they didn’t feel they were in good enough shape to do one. That they wanted to lose 5 lbs, 10 lbs, or even 30 lbs or “tone up a little more” before they’d be ready to do one. But here’s the thing, there is no way TO happiness…happiness IS the way! So basically if you think “once I’m a certain weight or size, I’ll be confident enough to do a shoot”, that’s the wrong way to look at it. You need to be creating those thoughts for yourself NOW if you want to feel confident. And that power is all yours! You can choose to love yourself + be confident in your skin whatever size you are. No one else’s opinion of your size matters but your own! And do be able to embrace a boudoir experience to celebrate your body as it is currently…that is just icing on the cake!
But I digress! The lovely Miss C here let me know that she “was skinny and didn’t realize it”. Then she got strong and loved it. Then as she entered into her 30s, hormones kicked in and she gained some unwanted weight. But she finally got to the point where she wanted to stop with the crazy workouts and just focus more on taking care of and loving herself. And I LOVE that! What you focus on expands, so let’s stop focusing on “what’s wrong with you” and instead “focus on what you love and what abundance” you have in your life. The more you do, the more you will find. And that’s exactly why celebrating yourself with some boudoir photos is the best idea ever! So for all my Tampa Bay ladies (and beyond!) out there…let’s focus on being confident in whatever skin you are currently in and see how that confidence trickles into other areas of your life. (it’s pretty cool to watch it happen!)
