Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a client who came to me with an inspiring story. She had just found out she was pregnant and wanted to celebrate this exciting new chapter with a boudoir session. But this wasn’t just any photoshoot—it was a way for her to embrace her newfound confidence and capture the essence of who she is, beyond the roles of mother, wife, or professional.
“I am feeling more confident in my skin than I have my entire life, and I would like that to be captured in a way that says this is me. Not just a mom, not defined by my job, not defined by my husband, but who I am,” she told me. It was a powerful statement that resonated deeply.
We spent the session highlighting her beauty, strength, and individuality. We even captured a special shot showcasing her little bump, a subtle yet meaningful detail that she absolutely loved.
Doing a boudoir session before her baby arrived allowed her to celebrate herself in a way that felt true to her. It was about preserving a moment in time where she felt empowered, confident, and fully in touch with who she is.
Boudoir photography can be incredibly empowering, especially in moments of transition like pregnancy. It’s a beautiful way to honor your body, your journey, and the unique essence of who you are—beyond any label or role. For my client, this session was more than a gift for her husband; it was a gift for herself, a celebration of her confidence and self-love.
