I get it. A boudoir shoot can be intimidating. But what if you decided to let go of your fears and do one anyway?
That is what the absolutely stunning Miss P did! And she even flew in all the way from Oklahoma for her boudoir session with me! And I’m so glad that she did! She told me that she always wanted to do one but struggled with an eating disorder for years and didn’t have the courage until now to commit to doing a shoot. She was scared to do a boudoir experience for the longest time because of the insecurities that she had about her body. But she had recently gotten into boxing and it had taught her to own her struggles, face her fears, and celebrate her strengths (both mental + physical). So with her 35th birthday coming up, she decided that she wanted to capture images of the strength, beauty, and power that is her body – and honor it with this empowering experience. She was no longer going to let her fears about doing a boudoir shoot get in the way.
And if I do say so…she freakin’ killed it with her session! The immense power, pride, + strength can be felt through these images and it makes me so very happy! Fear is something that can hold so many of us back from doing the things we dream of. Keeping us stagnant and insecure. But man oh man, it is so damn invigorating when you do something that scared the shit out of you originally only to realize you were made to do the hard things in life. That you aren’t going to let anything stand in the way!
