Fort De Soto Engagement Photos | Sunset Saint Petersburg Session
When I first moved down to Florida, one of the first beaches I fell in love with was at Fort De Soto. So when Samantha and Sarah were coming to town looking for beach engagement photos, I knew this was the spot for them!
This sweet pair has been a couple for quite some time. If I recall correctly, they’ve been friends for about 15 years and dating for the last ten. So a proposal was imminently on the horizon for them. Samantha was planning to propose to Sarah, but Sarah beat her to it! So a week before they were planning a trip down to Florida from Pennsylvania, they reached out to me about having some engagement photos taken while they were in town. Fortunately, I had some availability and everything fell in place.
If you’ve never been to Fort De Soto, you are missing out! What I love about photographing couples here is that there is such a variety of spots to check out. You have your vast white sands at the North Beach with pretty driftwood where the light trickles in. But at Fort De Soto, you also have some woodsy green spots, some grassy stretches with hidden trails, and of course my favorite part – the rocky breaker near the gulf pier and the Fort itself. We made sure to hit up most of these spots! These two are the sweetest pair ever and I’m so happy they found each other. Sam and Sarah are planning a spring wedding back down in Florida at Treasure Island and I know that it will be nothing short of amazing! Below are some of my favorite images of these delightful ladies from their session. Enjoy!
