6 Ways to Prepare for Mini Sessions

Holiday mini sessions are just around the corner and I want to give you my top 6 ways to prepare for your session and make sure you get the most out of it!

In case you didn’t hear the news…holiday mini sessions have officially gone live! These 20-minute sessions are perfect not only for families but also for couples or you and your girl gang. If you are looking for some fun, updated photos at the best rate of the year, be sure you head to the link below and snag one up!

Step One: Book Your Mini Session Date + Time ASAP!

As I mentioned before, these sessions are being offered at the best prices of the year, so there is limited availability and they will go fast! There are only 3-time slots available at each location and date. So if you need a Monday evening session in Tampa because it’s the only day that works and you don’t want to have to cross the bridge to St Pete (Girl, I know that struggle! haha), get on grabbing a spot ASAP!

These sessions will be available from Sunday, October 13th – Friday, October 18th.

Step Two: Have a Game Plan!

Since these sessions are short and sweet, it’s so important to have a game plan of what you are hoping for with these images! Are these for holiday card photos? If so, what type of images will you need? Do you need a group shot of everyone? Individual shots? You with each kiddo (or BFF)? Are you going for goofy ugly sweater type photos? Or more formal – dressed for the holiday ball type photos? Coming up with a game plan is everything to make sure that the resulting photos are everything you could have asked for and more!

Step Three: Read My Prep Guide

Did you know that after you book, I’ll send you a questionnaire to learn more about you and your loved ones and what you are looking for with your photos, but I will also send you a prep guide with all kinds of tips and advice! From what to wear, how to plan ahead, and some basic “do’s” and “don’ts” to make your session all you could have asked for and more! And if, after you read through the prep guide, you still have questions…I am just a quick email away!

Step Four: Be Punctual!

I cannot emphasize this enough! If anything, aim to be there 10-15 minutes early. We only have 20-minutes to work together, so if you are late, that will cut into the short time that we have and we do not want that! Plan for that possible traffic and if there isn’t any, enjoy those few extra moments before your session with your tribe!

Step Five: Come prepared with a few tricks up your sleeves!

If you are doing a family session and you know it might take your youngest a little bit of time to warm-up, bring along some toys or treats that you know will get them in a good mood! Or if your man is a bit camera shy, bring some fun tunes on a playlist on your phone to help him relax. Know your kiddo is a klutz and likely to trip and muddy up his pants? Bring some extra outfit changes to have on hand as backups! You’ll thank me for thinking ahead!

Step Six: Have Fun!

I know it might seem stressful when you are thinking about getting all the shots you want in 20-minutes time, but if you come prepared to have fun and not stress, I PROMISE we will get all kinds of amazing shots and you will have an even more amazing experience shared with your loved ones! I got you covered…it’s my job to capture beautiful images, and your job to have a blast doing it!
